CARL A. GILSON

Following an unexpected health event, Carl A. Gilson, age 78, of Kyle, TX, joined his Lord and Savior on April 7, 2021, as the last notes of “Amazing Grace” played from his daughter’s cell phone. Agreeing to a blind date set up by his younger brother, Dick, Carl met transplanted Yankee schoolteacher, Peggy Pruett, with whom he would share a marriage of 53 years.

A Celebration of Life for Carl A. Gilson will be held Sunday, April 25, 2021, at First United Methodist Church, 1320 Main St., Houston. Fellowship with family will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by the Celebration of Carl’s Life at 2:00 p.m. Parking for church events is available on the ground lot at Travis, Polk and Milam.
