Above, New Haven Superintendent of Schools Iline Tracey leads the way up East Rock to the Soldiers and Sailors Monument to kick off the Superintendent’s Summer of Fun Fitness Challenge on Wednesday. The summer fitness challenge aims “to inspire and motivate our community of stakeholders, families, staff, and students to move for overall good health and fitness,” according to the district’s website.
