Ready To Get Started

A barge containing pipes that will be used for the massive beach nourishment project targeting the coastline of Water Mill, Bridgehampton and Sagaponack arrived in Shinnecock Bay this week. The staging of the equipment is the first step in preparations for the pumping of more than three million tons of sand onto the beach, which is expected to begin in early October. DEAN FOSTER
