San Antonio’s LGBTQ community commemorated the Transgender Day of Remembrance on Thursday night, a recognition of the trans lives that were lost across the U.S. during the year. Kenne McFadden, a trans woman of color from San Antonio, was one of those lost. Her body was found floating in the River Walk in April. The case into her death, which was ruled a homicide, remains open.
