CRANSTON — The Division of Motor Vehicles will be open Monday at the Cranston headquarters, but only people with a reservation will be allowed in, a news release from the R.I. Department of Revenue said Sunday.
Monday’s reservations are all taken, but times for later in the week could be announced Monday, the news release said. To check for openings, visit the DMV’s web page at http:// www.dmv.ri.gov/.
No walk-ins will be accepted while the state is taking precautions against the spread of coronavirus.
AAA Northeast offices will be open, to members only, for certain DMV transactions.
Residents are asked to do business online whenever possible and to plan a visit and make a reservation only if absolutely necessary. People are asked to confirm an appointment by checking online before visiting the DMV.
