Palm Beach Island Cats put on their boogie shoes for the annual Meow Ball “Disco In-fur-no” on Jan. 31 at the Beach Club. President David Leavitt welcomed guests and reminded everyone how pivotal their support is to spread the word about the organization and its contributions to local cat colonies. Hermé deWyman Miro served as the international chairwoman with Susan Lloyd as chairwoman of the evening. Kim Puffenbarger and George Palladino were dinner chairwoman and chairman. Coco Schefmeyer received the Catalyst award for her service to the organization. During dinner, Daily News cartoonist David Willson’s orange cat sculpture was among the items auctioned to raise money for the Trap-Neuter-Return program, which is funded solely by fundraising and donations. The band Euphoria entertained with some of the top hits of the ’70s and kept guests dancing long after dinner.
