Perry enjoying solid start with Roadrunners

Cal State Bakersfield guard and former El Dorado standout Czar Perry scored four points in the Roadrunners’ 73-58 loss at Texas Tech on Sunday. Perry, who was 2-of-4 from the floor, dished out seven assists and grabbed five rebounds along with two steals in the contest. The Roadrunners trailed the Red Raiders 33-29 at intermission before Texas Tech pulled away in the second half. The Roadrunners are off until Saturday when they host Grand Canyon in their WAC opener. Perry presently ranks second on the team in scoring at nine points per game, and he leads the team in assists at 3.9 per game. He also is averaging 3.1 rebounds per game. The former EHS standout leads the team in minutes at 28.9 per contest.
