Former Junction City standout garners accolade

RUSSELLVILLE – The Conference Commissioner's Association announced earlier today the 2018 All-Super Region 3 Team with Ouachita Baptist earning five selections between the first and second team.

Keandre Evans, a former standout at Junction City, was named to the first team, as was Justin Gooseberry.

Kris Oliver, Airric Parker and Cole Antley earned second-team nods.

A defensive back, Evans throughout his junior season has proven to be the leader of a secondary that has shutdown opponent's receivers. The Tigers secondary has allowed just four passing touchdowns all season. The defense as a whole this season intercepted the ball 19 times and broke up an additional 49 passes. Evans currently leads the team with four interceptions and 14 pass break ups.

Oliver, the Great American Conference Offensive Player of the Year and the GAC all-time leading rusher, earned second-team All-Region recognition.

Oliver this season has accumulated 960 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns in route to his second first-team All-GAC selection.

A senior linebacker, Parker had an outstanding final season for the Tigers.

Parker led the topranked scoring defense in the nation with 74 tackles on the season.

The California native added a forced fumble, five pass breakups, two interceptions and a picksix to his resume as well.

A senior kicker, Antley made the second team after converting 11-of-12 field goals this season.

The Georgia native hit a season long 45-yard field goal attempt against Arkansas Tech earlier this season.

On kickoffs, Antley averaged 60.8 yards per kick and recorded 23 touchbacks in the process.

Overall, Ouachita Baptist led the Great American Conference and set a school record with the five D2CCA All-Region selections.
