For Chamber SWLA luncheon: On Nov. 29, L’Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles hosted the Chamber SWLA Women’s Business Network Luncheon. As the Title Sponsor, L’Auberge contributed $5,750 toward use of event space, food and beverage and more. This annual awards luncheon recognizes established and up and coming business women from Southwest Louisiana and the great contributions they make to our community. On hand for the donation are Michael K. Pendergast, L’Auberge Casino Resort vice president and general manager; and Michelle McInnis, SWLA Economic Development Alliance Regional Business and Workforce Development director.
McNeese State University
For MSU Foundation: The Fritz Lang and Lee Berwick Foundations donate $15,000 to the McNeese Foundation for the McNeese State University Harold and Pearl Dripps School of Agricultural Sciences. On hand for the presentation are, from left, Dr. Chip LeMieux, school director and associate dean of the College of Science and Agriculture; Edwin F. Hunter III, representing both foundations; and Dwight Bertrand, instructor of agricultural sciences.
Knights supports Jake Drost Elementary: David Lyons, chairman, and Wallace Drounette, co-chairman of the Knights of Columbus Council 8058 of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Carlyss presented a donation to Principal Ronnie Harvey and Assistant Principal Jeremy Doucet of Jake Drost School for Exceptional Children.
