McNeese announces 2017 Homecoming Court

Keifer Ackley, a political science and sociology senior from Sulphur, and Natalie Breaux, an agricultural sciences major with a concentration in preveterinary medicine from Lake Charles, have been named as McNeese State University’s 2017 Homecoming King and Queen.

The royal pair and court will be presented during halftime of the McNeese Cowboys vs. Incarnate Word Cardinals football game at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, in Cowboy Stadium.

Other court members: Devonte’ Aaron, Lake Charles, Camille Boullion, Lake Charles, David Crawford, Lake Charles, Kristian Ojonta, Houston, Raygan Suarez, Sulphur, and Abigail Schmitt, Lake Charles, seniors; Lauren Breaux, Sulphur, Sydney Broussard, Hackberry, Gunnar Goodwin, Lake Charles, and Thaddeus Richard, Eunice, juniors; Hailey Goodwin, Lake Charles, and Jacob Guidry, Lake Charles, sophomores; and Cameron Fontenot, Lake Charles, and Kinley Holmes, Sulphur, freshmen.

Ackley is the son of Keith and Janice Ackley. He is president of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and was named Mr. McNeese on the 2017 Spring Court.

Natalie Breaux is the daughter of Steven and Susan Breaux. She is a member of the Pre-Veterinary Society and is a Blue and Gold Peerleader. She is past president and vice president of Phi Mu sorority.

Aaron, son of Kevin Reliford and Lolita Aaron, is a management major. He is president of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, chancellor of Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity and treasurer of the NAACP student chapter.

Boullion, daughter of Nathalie Boullion, is a health and human performance major with a concentration in exercise science. She is a member of Chi Omega sorority, the Honors College and Kappa Lambda Society.

Crawford, son of David and Beverly Crawford, is an engineering major with a concentration in mechanical engineering. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and a Peerleader.

Ojonta, daughter of Latrice Steen, is a health and human performance major with a concentration in exercise science. She is vice president of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority and a member of the track and field team.

Suarez, son of Robert and Tammy Suarez, is a health and human performance major with a concentration in exercise science. He is president of the Pre-Physical and Occupational Therapy Society, a Peerleader and a member of Pi Kappa Alpha.

Schmitt, daughter of Andrew and Angela Schmitt, is a biological science major with a concentration in prepharmacy. She is a Peerleader and a member of Chi Omega, Kappa Lambda Society and the Honors College.

Lauren Breaux, daughter of Billy and Julie Breaux, is a radiologic sciences major. She is the director of standards and ethics for Alpha Delta Pi sorority and a member of the Newman Club.

Broussard, daughter of Randy and Sabrina Broussard, is a nursing major. She is secretary of Phi Mu and a Peerleader.

Gunnar Goodwin, son of Moby and Pamela Goodwin, is an engineering major with a concentration in mechanical engineering. He is a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity, a Student Alumni Ambassador and a Peerleader.

Richard, son of Thaddeus and Tricia Richard, is a psychology major. He is president of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity and treasurer of the Student Government Association.

Hailey Goodwin, daughter of Moby and Pamela Goodwin, is a nursing major. She is secretary of SGA, a member of Chi Omega and a Student Alumni Ambassador.

Guidry, son of Patina and the late Trent Guidry, is a general business administration major. He is vice president of Pi Kappa Alpha, a Peerleader and a member of the Pre-Law and Politics Society.

Fontenot, son of Tommy and Kelley Fontenot, is a biological science major with a concentration in pre-dentistry. He is a member of SGA, Newman Club and the Pre-Dental Society.

Holmes, daughter of Billy and Kim Holmes, is a mass communication major with a concentration in public relations. She is a cheerleader and a member of Chi Omega.
