For MSU scholarship: A fundraiser for the Dr. Robert Forrest History Scholarship at McNeese State University recently raised over $12,000 for the endowed scholarship. The event — hosted by Lake Charles Mayor Nic Hunter at the Harlequin Restaurant — included a silent auction, brunch and a historical trivia competition. To date, more than $86,000 has been given to the scholarship, which is designated for history and liberal arts majors. Westlake Chemical supports the Chennault International Airshow: Westlake Chemical donated $15,000 to the Chennault International Airshow, which takes place May 10-12 at Chennault International Airport. The Airshow, held every two years since its revival in 2013, is a not-for-profit organization with a mission of promoting careers in aviation and STEM — science, technology, engineering and math.
