McNeese State University students Thaddeus Richard, a psychology senior from Eunice, and Rachel Zachary, a political science senior from Sulphur, have been selected as Mr. and Miss McNeese on the 2018 Spring Court.

Other court members are:

Seniors — Khristian Anthony, Danielle John and Raygan Suarez, all of Sulphur, and Camille Boullion of Lake Charles.

Juniors — Sydney Broussard of Hackberry, Stephan Fontenot and Gunnar Goodwin, both of Lake Charles, and Shay Walker of Lacassine.

Sophomores — Jacob Guidry of Lake Charles and Carlee Smith of Nederland, Texas.

Freshmen — Caroline Hardy of Lacassine and Gavin Nettles of Lake Charles.

Richard is the son of Thaddeus and Tricia Richard. He is treasurer of the Student Government Association, a Blue and Gold Peerleader and a past president of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. He was nominated by Pi Kappa Phi.

Zachary is the daughter of Stan and Beverly Zachary. She is a member of Phi Mu sorority, president of the Chi Psi chapter of the Pi Sigma Alpha Society and vice president of both the McNeese College Republicans and the Pre-Law and Politics Society. She was nominated by the Pre-Law and Politics Society.

Anthony, son of Kareem Anthony and Feliecity Harris, is majoring in biological science. He is president of the National Society of Leadership and Success, a member of the McNeese track and field team and keeper of records for the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. He was nominated by the National Society of Leadership and Success.

Boullion, daughter of Timothy and Nathalie Boullion, is majoring health and human performance. She is a McNeese Honors College student and a member of the Pre-Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Society and Chi Omega sorority. She was nominated by the Honors College.

John, daughter of Chris and Bridget John, is majoring in both psychology and English. She is secretary for Cowboy Catholics, ritual chairman for Phi Mu and is an Honors College student. She was nominated by the Theta Chi fraternity.

Suarez, son of Robert and Tammy Suarez, is majoring in health and human performance. He is a Peerleader and a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, the Pre-Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Society and the Order of Omega. He was nominated by the Pre-Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Society.

Broussard, daughter of Randy and Sabrina Broussard, is majoring in nursing. She is a member of Phi Mu and the McNeese Student Nurse’s Association and is a Peerleader. She was nominated by Phi Mu Alpha Upsilon.

Fontenot, son of Cannon Fontenot and Jennifer Wright, is majoring in finance. He is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity and vice president of admissions for the Interfraternity Council. He was nominated by Kappa Sigma.

Goodwin, son of Moby and Pamela Goodwin, is majoring in engineering. He is a Peerleader, a member of Kappa Sigma and vice president of recruitment for the Interfraternity Council. He was nominated by the Peerleaders.

Walker, daughter of Eric and Monica Walker, is majoring in finance. She is treasurer for Chi Omega, a member of Cowboy Catholics and a Peerleader. She was nominated by PIKE.

Guidry, son of Patrina Guidry and late Trent Guidry, is majoring in business administration. He is president of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, a Peerleader and a Newman Club member. He was nominated by Pi Kappa Alpha.

Smith, daughter of Tommy Smith and Johnna McCown, is majoring in health and human performance. She is executive vice president of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, SGA parliamentarian and a Peerleader. She was nominated by Alpha Delta Pi.

Hardy, daughter of Kevin and Sharla Hardy, is majoring in health and human performance. She is a member of the Pre-Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy society, public relations chair for Phi Mu and a Peerleader. She was nominated by the Peerleaders.

Nettles, son of Ryan and Candice Nettles, is majoring in health and human performance. He is a member of Pi Kappa Alpha and a Peerleader. He was nominated by the Peerleaders.
