Hobbs City Manager

J.J. MURPHY has been announced as a finalist for a similar position at Port St. Lucie, Fla. The TCPlam newspaper reported Monday that the Port St. Lucie City Council announced its finalists for ousted City Manager Jeff Bremer. The finalized includes Murphy, Martin County, Fla., Russ Administrator Russ Blackburn; Auburn, Ala., City Manager Charles Duggan and Delray Beach, Fla., Asst. City Manager Francine Ramaglia. Murphy most recently applied for city manager positions in Las Cruces and Dunedin, Fla. His current salary with the City of Hobbs is listed at $176,835.36, ranking his salary as one of the three highest in New Mexico for a city manager. He was also voted City Manager of the Year by the New Mexico Municipal League.
